Had a great trip in Yellowstone.  I have around 3,000 pictures to short so it  is going to several months.  I hope someday to add pictures to the Internet.  It was an amazing trip.  Seeing Lone Star, Grand geyser erupt were amazing and worth the wait.  I also saw Improbable Geyser erupt.  It has only erupted once in past 10 years that was in January 31, 2015.  No one got a picture of then, but I have a picture of it erupting on June 18, 2015

History of Humpty Dumtpy (Stories are most likey not ture)

Two Stories.  Story #1

King Richard III was called the “humpbacked king”. Richard aapparently had scoliosis which made his right shoulder higher than the left.. In 1485, Richard III fought at the Battle of Bosworth. In this “humpty dumpty” origin story, it was said that either his horse was named “Wall” or his men. The king fell off his horse and was supposedly hacked to pieces on the field—thus no one could put him together again. Several problems exist with this theory the term “hunchback” first pop up until the 18th century.. Much more importantly was that the king’s remains were recently found largely intact save for a bludgeon to the head which probably killed him. Richard did die at the battle, but was not hacked to pieces

Story #2

The Fall of town of Colchester. During the English Civil War in 1648. The town was under siege. Supposedly, a man named Jack Thompson was stationed on the walls with a cannon nicknamed “Humpty Dumpty.” Thompson and the cannon managed to do a lot of damage to the advancing Parliamentarian troops,. However the the cannon eventually tumbled to the ground, because it was so heavy. Dozens of men who attempted to lift it back to its place on the wall were unable to do so. Eventually, Colchester was forced to open its gates and surrender. While the siege of Colchester did happen, it is unlikely that Humpty Dumpty refers to anything in the siege.

Humpty Dumpty publications

Samuel Armond was the first person to publish the nursey ryhme in 1797.  Unknown who created the story.  It does not say anything about any egg in the nursey rythme.  Dictionary, “humpty dumpty” was first used in the 17th century and referred to brandy boiled with ale.  The first time a picture of Humpty Dumpty as an egg was found in Lewis Caroll - Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found published in 1871.

You decided if the first 2 stories are ture or just made up.

See you next Month with more pictures
